Education and Research in Learning Technologies Laboratory

The Education and Research in Learning Technologies Laboratory was established in 2016. The research subjects in which the Laboratory is mainly active are the following scientific fields: learning technologies, education sciences, communication technologies. The aims of the Laboratory are:

  1. the coverage at undergraduate and postgraduate level of the teaching and research needs of the School Early Childhood Education and other Schools of the university in subjects that fall within the scope of the laboratory and are part of the curriculum.
  2. the training (theoretical and praxis training) of scientists in the fields covered by the laboratory.
  3. cooperation with Greek and foreign research centers and academic institutions.
  4. the organization of scientific lectures, workshops, seminars, symposium, conferences and other scientific events, the realization of publications and editions as well, invitations to Greek and foreign scientists.
  5. the provision of services to individuals.
  6. the collection, processing, storage and disposal of data.
  7. the undertaking of consulting or development projects and studies in order to satisfy the needs of society.
  8. the design and development of educational digital material.
  9. the development of educational activities with city and regional bodies, Greek and international associations and organizations.

The laboratory is housed in room 203, on the 2nd floor of the building of the Faculty of Education.

PSYCHE

Child Psychology & Education Lab

The Child Psychology & Education Lab – PSYCHE is staffed by members of the School of Early Childhood Education, members of other Schools at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and members of other Greek universities.

PSYCHE Lab members pursue research and teaching in the following areas:

  • Executive function development, sociocultural development
  • Working memory, executive functions, learning and development
  • Experiential education and teachers’ learning
  • Empathy and self-consciousness in typical and atypical development
  • Children’s rights and policies
  • Mental health in typical and atypical development

The Lab also aims at:

  • Undergraduate and graduate teaching
  • Collaboration with other labs/institutions, to advance shared interests
  • Organization of seminars, symposiums, conferences etc, for research exchange and dissemination
  • Research publication
  • Provision of specialized services to interested parties.

EEKEDiViM

Laboratory of Research on Social Diversity and Lifelong Learning

The activities of the the “Laboratory of Research on Social Diversity and Lifelong Learning (EEKEDiViM)” are focused around teaching and research. The laboratory offers courses and seminars to the undergraduate and postgraduate students of the School of Early Childhood Education. Furthermore, the laboratory is in cooperation with other research institutes and laboratories, but it also carries out research projects using its own resources. Finally, it develops and produces various educational materials.
