For the academic years 2022-2023 onwards, the School of Early Childhood Education offers the following postgraduate programmes:

Postgraduate Programme "Education Sciences: Research and Praxis in Changing Learning Environments"

The School of Early Childhood Education of the Faculty of Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki organizes and operates from academic year 2022 – 2023 onwards a Postgraduate Programme entitled: “Education Sciences: Research and Praxis in Changing Learning Environments”, lasting three (3) semesters (90 ECTS), which offers the following two specializations:

  1. Creative Designs for Educational Research and Praxis
  2. Arts in Education

Programme Graduates will acquire the theoretical and empirical background, as well as the skills that will enable them to be employed in a wide range of institutions (education and research) related to both formal and non-formal education and/or to continue their studies at PhD level.

Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme "Sustainability Education - Education Sciences"

The aim of the Programme is to promote knowledge, develop research and meet the educational, research, social and developmental needs of the country, through the training of scientists capable of contributing to the scientific field of Environmental Education and Education for Sustainability. The main objective of the Programme is to enable its graduates to understand the cultural, ecological, social and political processes related to the environment and related problems, in order to promote strategies for ensuring environmental and social sustainability at the educational and research level.

Inter-institutional / Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme "Educational Sciences: Mathematics Education"

The Programme is offered under the supervision of the School of Primary Education of the University of Western Macedonia and the following collaborating University Schools: Educational and Social Policy of the University of Macedonia, Early Childhood Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the School of Primary Education of the Democritus University of Thrace.

The main objective of the Programme is to supply the field of education with executives and specialists in the teaching of Mathematics, to contribute to research on Mathematics Education in Northern Greece, highlighting the particular local and historical elements, to develop knowledge and strengthen educational practice on issues such as the use of new technologies in the teaching of Mathematics, mathematical education of children with learning difficulties in Mathematics, the involvement of history and culture in the teaching of Mathematics and, finally, to promote adult learning and lifelong learning in the field of Mathematics in general.
